When I learned about @k11musea I struggled to wrap my head around the fact that this one building was a shopping complex, museum, playground, sustainable farm, and cultural center all at once. I realised that I had never experienced such a multi-dimensional place like this before and am still surprised at the profound impact it’s had on me.

K11 MUSEA has opened my eyes to what a building can be and can do to bring people together, and to create positive social and environmental change. Its design fuses together seemingly different spaces, creating a hybrid of indoor and outdoor gardens for you to spend time in nature, cosy cafes and common spaces for quiet contemplation or community gatherings, and expansive galleries and art exhibits to wander through and feed the soul.

I love that this building draws from the collective expertise of over 100 creative powers, and I’m yearning for more places like this. Places that are a reflection of who we are as a society, with our infinite complexity, variety, and uniqueness. It has me thinking about how can we design spaces in our homes, offices, and within our communities to bring down barriers, to combat loneliness, and to create ideas, change, and new possibilities.
